Ways You Can Give
Memorial Gifts
A memorial gift to the Foundation is a meaningful way to express sympathy to someone who has lost a loved one. Memorial gifts support a broad range of health services and equipment needs. Our Foundation will send a card to the family on your behalf and you receive acknowledgement and an income tax receipt.
To make a memorial gift go to the Canada Helps website and follow the Memorial Gifts prompts, or contact the Foundation at 678-5414 or email vrh.foundation@ns.sympatico.ca.
In Honour Gifts
Celebrate life’s milestones and choose to mark a special occasion of a friend or family member with a donation in their honour. This is a wonderful way to mark an event for those who are community minded and don’t want more “things”.
Contact our office at 678-5414 or, email vrh.foundation@ns.sympatico.ca, or simply go to the Canada Helps website and follow the steps to make a donation. We will send a card on your behalf.
On-line giving
The Foundation uses Canada Helps to process online donations. You will receive your receipt instantly and our office will be notified of your donation. You may choose the program or project you wish to support simply by reviewing your options. Go to the Canada Helps website to make your contribution to support health care.
Grateful Patient and Family Program
Maybe it was a kind word or a warm smile that brought comfort to you or your loved one. It could have been a happy event, a lifesaving procedure or simply a visit from a volunteer during your stay at Valley Regional Hospital.
You or your family can say a special “thank you” by making a donation to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation in honour of the staff member, physician, team or volunteer you wish to recognize. When the gift is received, the Foundation will acknowledge the person (or persons) with a specially designed pin they will wear proudly.
Your gift to Valley Regional Hospital Foundation benefits the health care of families in the Annapolis Valley with new equipment and improved services.
To make your donation, contact us at 678-5414, email vrh.foundation@ns.sympatico.ca or go to the Canada Helps website and choose the “in honour” option. Remember to include the name(s) or unit you wish to honour.
