Valley Regional Hospital Foundation is excited to launch a new process to help identify individuals who feel they would be a great asset on our Board of Directors. Through a public call for applications, we are currently recruiting 4-6 new board members to join us this fall.
As an organization, we value members who share their perspectives enthusiastically while also making space so that all voices around the table are heard. We’re especially keen to add new members who bring one or more of the following qualities and expertise:
- Financial management
- Legal expertise
- Ability to leverage community connections, contacts, and knowledge in support of the Foundation’s fundraising goals
- Lived experience that brings diverse perspectives to the existing Board of Directors, including but not limited to those who identify as being members of the following communities: Indigenous, Black/African Nova Scotian, other racialized groups, persons with disabilities, and 2SLGBTQIA+
- Representation from farther reaches of Kings and Annapolis Counties
